Adam Lyons is an assistant professor at Keio University, Tokyo, Japan. He works on religions and society in modern Japan. His publications have appeared in the Japanese Journal of Religious Studies and in the Journal of Religion in Japan, and his book Karma and Punishment: Prison Chaplaincy in Japan is under contract with the Harvard University Asia Center Press.
